Chowon (Hangul: 초원; Katakana: チョウォン; Mandarin: 霄瑗) is a South Korean singer and actress under Cube Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group LIGHTSUM.

Early Life and Career[]
Chowon was born as Han Cho-won (Hangul: 한초원) on September 16th, 2002 in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Her family consists of her parents and a younger brother.
2018–2019: Produce 48, contract with Cube Entertainment[]
In June 2018, Chowon became a contestant on the reality survival show Produce 48, where she represented Cube Entertainment. She was eliminated in the finale episode after ranking 13th place, hence not becoming a member of the final debut group IZ*ONE.[3]
On August 19, 2019, Cube Entertainment announced that she had signed an artist contract with the agency, but specific plans regarding her debut were yet to be decided.[4]
2021: Debut with LIGHTSUM[]
On April 20, 2021, Chowon was revealed with Jian as the second two members of LIGHTSUM.[5][6] The group made their debut on June 10 with their first single album "Vanilla".
